about

'This Radiation' is taken from Claire Birchall's 'Captain Captain' album, (2001) and 'Cowgirl Blues' is taken from Claire Birchall's 'This Gallery Of Mine' album (1999). "Captain" was Claire's debut album, which was originally distributed on dubbed cassette and burnt CDs with photocopied covers, while "Gallery" stayed unreleased. This single has been put together to celebrate the the official release of the two albums, which have finally been mastered for the first time, and will be out as a deluxe double CD this September 2013, courtesy of Night Owl Records.

Both albums were recorded by Claire on 4-track cassette, and keeping with the cassette tradition, a limited release cassingle of 'This Radiation'/'This Gallery Of Mine' is accompanying the double CD release.

Claire and friends will be launching 'Captain Captain'/'This Gallery Of Mine' on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH @ THE POST OFFICE HOTEL (Sydney Rd, Coburg) with very special guest Matt Walker.
